9月2日より14日まで立教大学招聘研究員として来日する、中世・ルネサンスにおける思想史・教皇史の若手研究者ゲオルク・シュトラック博士に、前近代における教皇研究の現状について講演とワークショップの機会をいただく。現在シュトラック博士はドイツ研究振興協会（DFG）の支援を受けた、12世紀から15世紀にかけての教皇宮廷における紛争解決の原理を解明する研究プロジェクトを主宰している。本講演では、キリスト教やヨーロッパ文化の根幹の一部をなす教皇に対する最新の知見が披露される予定である。
